Job Overview
The Trader/Financial Advisor position has a trajectory for advancement within our firm. A candidate’s education and soft skills are important, however, related financial industry experience is an asset. Candidates who have been immersed in a similar working environment through an internship or other work placement is also an asset. We are open to speaking with existing financial advisors with a book of business that are interested in joining our team.
This position comes with the opportunity for advancement into financial advising and portfolio management roles for the right candidate. Additional opportunity for commission compensation through referrals.
This position requires a Criminal Record Check.
This is a hybrid position. The candidate must live in either Lethbridge, AB or in the southern Calgary area.
Key Responsibilities
· Execute daily stock trades in relative programs
· Analyze existing client portfolios and identify rebalancing needs
· Examine financial data, past market trends and current opportunities
· Take direction from portfolio managers on trade instructions
· Execute bulk trade instructions
· Communicate with clients on portfolio updates and participate in client meetings
Qualifications
· Strong data collection and analytical skills
· Exceptional organizational skills
· Strong eye for detail
· Experienced knowledge of finance, stocks, bonds, investments, and other financial projects
· Good business administration skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· CSC and/or TTC is an asset
· Degree in finance/business is an asset, but not required
