Description
Accu-Temp was founded in 1982 and began as an HVAC service company in the Waterloo Region. Within a few short years, our company grew and was soon providing 24-hour service and installation for many customers.
Since 2002, we have been at the forefront of browser-based networked building automation systems. With over 200 sites successfully installed, our company has solid experience for custom program solutions. In 2007 we restructured to focus exclusively on building automation.
Accu-Temp continues to grow, building on our solid controls background, with systems integration, resource management, and advanced analytics services.
We are hiring a Journeyperson (309A) join our team!
This person will work on customer sites within Ontario, Mondays to Fridays, 9am - 5pm.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with the project manager and customer, oversee all electrical project install work at a job site. Install wiring, actuators, valves and sensors at construction sites according to the plan design documents, engineering drawings or blueprints. Create conduit bending for different pathways (metallic, PVC, EMT tubing pipe etc.) Terminate wires to building panels, units, thermostats, actuators, controllers, valves
- Upon completion of install, collaborate with programmers to perform a point-to-point testing. Document electrical schematics on how wiring is installed.
- Plan and order/purchase materials required for the job.
- Ensure project work is completed on schedule and adjust based on differing trades and their needs.
- Oversee Electrical Apprentice on job site and provide direction as needed and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret and read blueprint, schematic and design drawings
- Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code
Education and/or Experience
- Licensed electrician with a minimum of 3-4 years related experience is preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid 309A required
- Valid Drivers License
