We are currently hiring a Full Time (30-40 hours/week) Deliver Driver. This is a DAY shift, Monday to Friday 5-8 hours/day with flexibility in actual hours to meet customer needs. The delivery driver follows a daily local delivery schedule. Reports to the Materials Manager.
Your Responsibilities:
- Use G class company pick-up truck for deliveries - MUST be able to operate standard transmission.
- Familiar with Waterloo Region and GTA
- Handling of scrap material, making ready for shipment
- Assist in shipping and receiving tasks
- Shop cleanliness and adherence to safety guidelines
- Operation of forklift and overhead crane
- Other duties as assigned in the shop and warehouse, as necessary
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Full G class driver’s license (clear abstract must be provided at time of hire)
- Able to drive manual transmission
- Forklift Certification
- Steel toe work boots and safety glasses mandatory
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt to changing needs
- Strong customer service skills
- Work in a team, and independently as necessary
- Work unsupervised and meet production goals and deadlines
- Strong mathematical skills and mechanical skills
- Attention to detail and ensuring accuracy of material handling and processing
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and ERP
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs comfortably
Successful candidate will also be required to pass a Criminal Records name check and a Controlled Goods Clearance upon hire.
