Assistant Plant Manager

Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager.
This on-site role requires 3–5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing and strong proficiency in MS Excel for data tracking and analysis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily operations, production planning, human resources coordination, and cross-functional projects to ensure efficiency and growth. We offer full benefits after three months and an annual bonus in addition to a competitive salary.

Experience
3-5 years leadership experience in manufacturing
Act as a liaison between departments
Strong Microsoft skills- experience with Power BI
Ability to develop tools to track and analyze data
Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate
Expertise in overseeing production processes, monitoring KPIs, and supporting cost control initiatives
Experience in production planning and risk assessment to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements
Six Sigma, LEAN would be considered an asset, as well as PM experience


Operations
  • Provide support for day to day operations of the facility related to production, human resources and material management
  • Support the development of new processes for communication, team collaboration and internal project management as required
  • Prepare operational reports for the Plant Manager or corporate
  • Track production KPIs (output, scrap, downtime, yield, cycle time, etc.)
  • Assist the Plant Manager with monitoring of weekly production costing reviews and identification of issues
  • Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
  • Assist the Plant Manager with budgeting and cost control 
 
Planning
  • Support the Plant Manager in scheduling and planning for production to ensure all customer requirements are met on time
  • Review forecasts / planning documents to identify potential risks and report to Plant Manager
 
Human Resources
  • Coordinate staffing, shift coverage, and work assignments
  • Track employee training, attendance and related issues and maintain documents and records per corporate and government guidelines
  • Ensure production hours are tracked accurately and reported for payroll in a timely manner
  • Help to plan social activities for the team per the Plant Manager’s direction
  • Coach production supervisors and team leads
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management
  • Handle conflict resolution with employees
  • Promote a positive and safe work culture
  • Help enforce attendance, discipline, and policy compliance
  •  
 
Project Management
  • Attend weekly (internal) and biweekly (with corporate office) team meetings and collaborate with the team on related activities
  • Provide support to office team members to coordinate projects between departments and help the meet company objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams on projects to support the company’s growth and development
