Accu-Temp Cooling & Heating Systems Inc. (accutempsystems.com) has been in the HVAC Controls industry for 40 years, achieving continued growth and expertise across Ontario and Canada. Our experienced and diverse team includes Building Automation System (BAS) Technicians, Project Managers, Engineers, Installation/Electrical Crews and Support staff. Accu-Temp is a Honeywell Authorized Control Integrator Elite (ACI Direct), in the top 10% in North America.
We design, install and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS), as well as other related analytics and smart building systems. BAS service, involving remote support, diagnostics, and monitoring, is also provided.
We have a diverse client list, including commercial, multi-residential, municipalities, school boards, hospitals, post-secondary institutions, developers, and industrial clients.
Continued growth has resulted in an opportunity for an intermediate or Senior BAS Technician to join our design team.
Job Duties
- Analyze, and interpret BAS submittal documents, equipment shop drawings, building plans/specifications (mechanical, electrical and architectural), and detailed equipment sequence of operations.
- Prepare complete programming/graphics package based on BAS submittal package (provided from design group).
- Work with designers, project managers, electricians and other BAS technicians to execute complete BAS project scope.
- Inspect, test & troubleshoot low voltage power equipment and systems, network communications, end devices, peripherals, valves & actuators, relays and sensors as part of the commissioning process
- Assist with equipment startups, and other onsite activities (such as air/water balancing).
- Work with 3rd party commissioning agents and owner representatives to demonstrate system conformance to design specifications.
- Maintain project documentation and prepare As Built/closeout documents at end of project.
- Work with service team to carry out ongoing service requests as necessary.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of related, applicable BAS and building control design and programming experience, including field commissioning experience.
- BAS Programming: 2 years (preferred)
- Graduate of a relevant BAS program at the college or university level an asset.
- Knowledge (or certification) for Niagara framework by Tridium.
- Experience with BACnet, Lon Works, Modbus, Ethernet and other BAS protocols/standards.
- Knowledge of programming Honeywell (WEBs, Spyder, CIPer) field controller or similar.
- Experienced with all building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, metering, lighting, security, fire alarm
- Experienced in Microsoft Office, Teams, Visio or AutoCad
- Ability to create, read and understand control drawings, electronic schematics, electrical diagrams and construction drawings.
- Ability to progress multiple projects in parallel.
- Excellence in written and verbal communication to communicate clearly with the customers, mechanical contractors, GCs and fellow employees.
- Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving history to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to work in teams and independently and perform required job duties to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ability to travel when required
