We produce superior, specialized babbitt bearings to OEM specifications for equipment.
Shift
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
• Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM, Monday to Thursday

Machine & Technical Skills
• Experience operating CNC machines (vertical and horizontal turning centers, boring mills) is a strong asset.
• Experience on manual machines is required.
• Must be capable of operating multiple machines or managing multiple operations as needed.
• Skilled in measuring and inspecting parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.
• Must supply personal machinist tools per the CBB Minimum Tool List (attached).
• Experience using overhead cranes for setup and part movement is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with machining heavy components (up to 20 tons) and difficult materials is highly desirable.
Experience & Job Knowledge
• Minimum 5 years of machining experience, with the ability to perform independent setups on large, complex components. Must possess basic tools.
• Must be able to read and interpret CNC programs to manage offsets and safely operate machines: Former Programmer/ Machinist Strong Asset
• Able to work with blueprints, GD&T symbols, job travelers, and operation sheets with minimal
guidance.
• Must inspect and clean own parts prior to metal removal.
• Responsible for completing quality documentation related to operations and inspections.
• Must actively monitor tooling conditions and communicate any issues prior to starting a job.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with foreman, engineering, and quality team members.
• A positive attitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada and able to commute or relocate to our Brantford facility.
• Must be willing and available to work the afternoon shift, with flexibility for overtime when required.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected to be ready and at workstation at shift start.
• Demonstrated attention to cleanliness and 5S practices (chip control, organized workstations).
• Comfortable with physically demanding work, including heavy lifting and manual effort.

Compensation
$34.00 - $38.00 per hour
